IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A SKYPE VISIT, PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE TO SCHEDULE!
An important message to all our patients and families:
Due to the recent public health crisis, we have made a number of changes to our office policies and practices to reduce the risk of disease transmission and keep our staff, patients, and families safe and healthy. One thing that will not change is our commitment to being there for our patients and their families. We are still here for you!
We have already instituted increased cleaning practices, including increased professional cleaning of the office, cleaning rooms between patients and hourly cleaning of all high-touch surfaces in the office.
As of today, we have also removed all toys from waiting and exam rooms to avoid the possibility of disease transmission. Please bring with you whatever you need to keep your child occupied during your visit!
We are now screening all patients prior to their appointment for fever and cough, as well as contact with people with known or suspected COVID-19. We are using a separate entrance and specific exam rooms for this purpose to minimize the risk of infection, and these rooms are subject to additional cleaning between visits.
Currently, we are bringing patients immediately back to exam rooms after checking in, rather than waiting in the waiting room. If an exam room is not open at the time of check in, you will be asked to wait in the car and we will take your cell phone number and call you when it is time to come in.
In addition, we are limiting the number of additional family members (including siblings) coming to the visit to TWO. Additional family members will be asked to wait in the car.
We strongly encourage, when possible, that caregivers over 60 or those with medical conditions putting them at increased risk for complications of COVID-19, NOT bring children to appointments.
Routine well visits and follow up appointments are NOT being cancelled. Part of our commitment to children's health includes making sure that our patients are still able to get their routine care including vaccinations and med checks, as per American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations. If you have concerns about bringing your child in for their routine visit, please call the front office.
